MOON  MAGIC

Standing by the balcony I saw a full moon,
Staring at it unknowingly I started humming a tune.
The warmth of the moon and the cold breeze had me smitten,
As if I was some teenage girl staying up all night watching videos of puppies and kitten.

A million thoughts flooded my mind,
The breeze did its magic and the thoughts unwind.
A weird scream broke my trance,
I realized it was my soul urging me to dance.

So, I held hands with my puppy,
Dancing like a child, I let my soul free.
I took a glass of wine and made a toast,
I think I heard "woohoo" or was it just a ghost?!

All my worries and restlessness went away,
Walking towards the bed I put off my cigarette in the ashtray.
Lying on the bed, I caught a funny smell,
I wondered if I, too, was under the moon's spell.

Peacefully I went off to sleep,
Being fully aware of how blessed I was, as none of this in today's world is cheap.
